Spring Time Engagement – Michelle & Scott – South Bend Wedding Photographer

Talk about the perfect way to welcome Spring! Michelle and Scott’s spring engagement was fun, relaxed and full of laughs!

Michelle and Scott had a hard time choosing the right location for the engagement session.  After spending hours driving and walking around the usual photo spots, nothing was really speaking to them. If the session was supposed to represent who they are as a couple, the location needed to as well.

How perfect then that they choose a dear friend’s beautiful farm. Michelle and Scott have a friend that lives out in the country with tons of land and flowering trees. They spent countless weekends there swimming, playing tackle football and sitting by the fire pit. It was prefect!

We started the session by a black and white barn that made their outfits colors POP! Plus there was so many great photo angles I could choose from… loved it!

Love this black and white! ⬇️

We then walked just a few feet down to the pine trees that gave us gorgeous color and framed them perfectly in the photos.

These two really started to have fun as I had them walk through a path of trees towards the back of the property. This is where we found out that they are PRO walkers! We got so many great shots on the first try. Well done Michelle and Scott!  😉

Now that I had them standing for so long, it was time for a sitting picture. But of course the hard part was where. We strolled around the property until I saw this large tree that had fallen. It was surprisingly clean and comfy… perfect!

These two are so in love! 😍

There happened to be several colorful trees blooming over by the pool. By placing Michelle and Scott (and myself) in just the right spot, we were able to cover all the pool area and focus solely on them and the beautiful colors.

We walked across the street to the neighbor’s property because the white flowering tree and farm fence was too good to pass up. And I was right! The colors mixed with their genuine love for one another… photo perfection!

Michelle’s ring deserves a parade! It definitely needed it’s own WOW moment during the session! Despite the wind, I was able to nestle it in a bush which just made the diamond pop even more! 💍

We did one last walking shot by the black and white barn to end the session. Scott really went for it on the dip! Haha!

The perfect end to the perfect session!

Thank you Michelle and Scott for spending an hour with me at your friend’s farm. I got to know you both better and I’m now even more excited for your wedding day! I know we’ll have a blast and the day will be super relaxing and all about you! All my love – S
