Love, laughter and golf carts – Kate & Sam – South Bend Wedding Photographer

I’d like to introduce you to the Notre Dame/Saint Mary’s power couple, Kate and Sam! These two are probably the nicest people you’ll ever meet and their zest for life is infectious. After 4 years of dating, Sam popped the question last year at Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. Kate and Sam decided to get married at Sam’s local parish, Christ the King Church, and have their reception at the gorgeous, Morris Park Country Club. The weather was something out of fairytale and that dance floor never stopped rockn’ all night! 😊

Kate and Sam’s incredible day started with Sam’s details. I love his socks and they made for the perfect backdrop for his ring.

Sam’s groomsmen all pitched in to make sure Sam looked his best. Then all the guys went down to the bar to toast the man of the hour! 🍻

Sam’s mom pinned on his boutonnière and then showed him a surprise video message that Kate had arranged by an actor they both love. ❤️

Sorry ladies, this one’s taken. 😎

As the guys enjoyed their lunch, Grace and I left for the girls’ AirBNB. When we arrived, we immediately started on details. I love the blue color of their invite!

Kate’s beautiful details. 💍

Kate and Sam’s rings are sitting on a purse that Kate’s mom had made from her old wedding dress!

The ladies toasted Kate before getting into their dresses. Kate was so worried that she wouldn’t be able to open the champagne. 😋

Once the gals got into their dresses, it was time to get Kate into hers! Mom tied the back of the dress and then the girls helped with the rest.

Family photo-op!

Kate looks unbelievable! 😍

Ceremony time!

That beautiful moment when they see each other for the first time. ❤️

Kate and her mom took flowers to Mary.

Kate couldn’t hold back her emotion as her friend sang Ave Maria.

The final prayer.

I now pronounce you husband and wife!

May I introduce Mr and Mrs DeTrempe!!! 🥳

Beautiful family formals at the front of the church.

Our awesome wedding party!

All the guests were waiting outside the church to congratulate Kate and Sam!!! Such a fun moment! 😊

The wedding party hopped on the party bus and headed to Morris Park. Grace and I went in first to capture Kate and Sam’s reaction to the gorgeously decorated ballroom.

The room was stunning! And those florals by Poppies… wow! 🤩

As the guests enjoyed cocktail hour, the wedding party drove down the golf course for pictures. I love any day that I get to drive a golf cart! 🤣

Our beautiful ladies!

Our handsome men!

Now this group can walk! Picture perfect! 😍

Before doing portraits, Kate and Sam did extended family photos on Hole 10. Everyone was on time and we were done in 5 minutes! Very impressive!

After a quick water break, the 4 of us headed out for Kate and Sam’s portraits. These two can not take a bad picture; it’s impossible. 🤩

Gorgeous light through the willow tree!

Iconic veil swoop! 😍😍😍

So cute! 🥰

Let’s welcome the newlyweds! Now that’s an entrance! 🥳

Their first dance was husband and wife.

Let them eat cake! You’ll notice Kate and Sam were pretty excited about the taste. 🤣

Kate’s dad welcomed the guests and toasted the happy couple.

Once salads were served, Katie (maid of honor) informed Kate that they were equally as bad at chemistry during their time at Saint Mary’s. 😋

Then Will (Sam’s best man and brother) told all the guests how big Sam’s head wise as a child during his toast. 🤣🤣

After dinner, it was time for parent dances. Kate and her dad were up first.

Then Sam and his mom showed off their dance moves.

Before the dance floor opened, Kate and Sam thanked all their guests for celebrating this day with them. And then thanked Elena, Grace and myself. 😘🤗

Let’s get this party started! 🥳

Kate and Sam decided to do a sparkler exit just outside the club. It was the perfect way to end this incredible day! ❤️

To Kate and Sam – Thank you so much for allowing me the privilege of capturing this wonderful journey for you! Your day was perfect and I couldn’t imagine not being apart of it. I can’t thank you enough for saying thank you to Grace and myself during the reception! I know it may seem small but that means the world to me. You both are incredible human beings and I know the Lord has big plans for your future! If you ever need anything, I’m always here! All my love – S
