Hold on to your sunscreen cause here comes some hot ☀️ engagement photos! Okay, that was cheesy but seriously, Lauren and Jordan’s engagement session was picture perfect!

These two IU alumni (yes, I’ll let that slide… Go Boilermakers 🤣) wanted an unique and fun session that not only represented them but that also included their whole furry family. Wesley, their adorable puppy, greeted us at the studio during hair and makeup. As Lauren was getting pampered, Wesley and I played fetch. Sadly, a few days later, Waffles (my dog) found Wesley’s ball under the bed and it unfortunately went to squeaky toy heaven. On the bright side, Waffles did seem to enjoy it before she ate it. 🤣🐶

Once hair and makeup was done, the 3 of us went to Battell Park for a few photos with Wesley. Andrea, Lauren’s sister, was already there waiting with treats in hand. Andrea stood right next to me so Wesley would look at the camera. He nailed it! 🐶📷

We said goodbye to Wesley and headed to St. Joe Michigan. I picked up Grace on the way and Lauren and Jordan drove separately since Lauren had to go right back to school after the session. Even with 3 separate vehicles, we still all managed to arrive at our destination within 90 seconds of each other! As Lauren and Jordan changed into their second look, I photographed Lauren’s ring. I saw this grate across the street and wanted that dark, rusty contrast to the beautiful and sparkly diamond. Nailed it! 💍

Lauren and Jordan were absolute naturals when it came to feeling comfortable in front of the camera. I had them sit at a table at a local cafe and they just talked about food, (my favorite subject, lol). The giggles were contagious! 😊

After several attempts to do a walking shot in the middle of the road, we finally got one thanks to Jordan’s excellent timing!

We walked another block and I saw these cute twinkle lights above an olive bar. The building was hideous but that was okay because with the right placement, you’d only see the lights. These are incredible… Lauren and Jordan belong in a magazine! 🤩😎

On our way back to the cars, we popped into this brick aisle for a few close ups. 😍

Lauren and Jordan changed into their final outfit and we made our way to the beach. The sky was a gorgeous light blue with hues of pink. Couldn’t have been more perfect!

Jordan attempted to spin Lauren but it didn’t work out so well. 🤣 But it did make for an hilarious moment!

As the tide was coming back in, I had Lauren and Jordan stand right in the water so that the waves would crash against them. LOVE! 😍

Last but certainly not least, their night shots were incredible! Those blue and pink hues were so soft that the only way to truly capture them was to add light to Lauren and Jordan. And of course, a lift is the perfect way to end this perfect day! ❤️😉
