Mr & Mrs Atwood – Potawatomi Inn Wedding – Angola, Indiana

Two weeks ago today, I had the privilege of photographing Amy & Josh’s beautiful summer wedding! Amy and I have gotten pretty close over the last year so it’s no surprise that I felt like a member of the family that day. 🙂

Amy & Josh decided to say “I do!” at the Potawatomi Inn at Pokagon State Park in Angola Indiana. The view from the sun deck is stunning and the grounds have endless photo opportunities.  We started our day at Namaste Hair Salon where Amy and gals were finishing up hair and make up.

It was so nice that the girls and boys rooms were right next door. Made things so much easier for everyone and it also made the pictures mirror each other… which you all know I LOVE!

The girls had a little too much fun with the garter situation… haha!

Our goodness Amy! <3

Could she be any cuter… I don’t think so! 🙂

She rocked that hollywood glam!

Josh knows how to put on the charm!

Sorry ladies… this one’s taken!

Their first look was beautiful! There’s this gorgeous garden in the middle of the hotel thats filled with flowers and fountains and this very useful pergola. The sun was beaming straight down on us so I threw my reflector on top of the pergola for some shade.  Luckily Josh was able to get it down after. lol

These two are so cute!

So precious! You can really see how much they care for one another. <3

WOW!

They had way too much with this! hehe

How perfect is this moment!

We had so many great locations, it was hard to choose.

That blue sky… perfect!

With a little help from my assistant, we were able to pretend there was shade on this pier. All you need is long arms and Photoshop, lol! But it’s worth it, these are probably my favorite because you could tell they were truly comfortable and natural.

Now you can clearly see that there was no shade here, lol. But for this shot, that’s perfectly okay. It’s all about taking in the whole environment and being alone with one another.

Here comes the bride!

Look at that view!

This unity heart was so unique. I’d never seen anyone do a unity ceremony like this before. And it makes for the perfect keepsake.

Man & Wife!

All of their families gathered together to be apart of this wonderful moment!

The Atwoods & The Youngs!

This tree was absolutely stunning! It’s branches curved downward matching the curve of the hill. It was the perfect place for first pictures as Mr & Mrs Atwood!

Party time! Cake cutting came first with a surprise ending. haha

To Amy & Josh – Thank you for the bottom of my heart for allowing me the honor of capturing your love story! I’m excited to see what amazing things happen in this next chapter! I wish you all the love in the world. Love always – S
