Mr & Mrs Walkowski – Intimate Backyard Wedding – Mishawaka, Indiana Wedding Photographer

It all started over a year ago when I got a Facebook message from an amazing gal, Tyeshea. What started as a simple inquiry, quickly turned into a fast friendship! I met Tyeshea and Andy a few days later and from that moment, we knew I’d be photographing their wedding!

After a few location changes, Tyeshea and Andy decided to have an intimate wedding at Tyeshea’s grandmother’s home in Mishawaka. It’s a beautiful home with plenty of room for getting ready and tons of backyard space.  I arrived around noon to start on details. Tyeshea had their shoes customized with ‘his’ and ‘hers’ and the date. So cute!

Before hopping into their dresses, the girls all enjoyed some mimosas in their adorable matching cups.

Tyeshea didn’t want the bridesmaids to see her until she was fully dressed so we did a reveal after Nikki (her maid of honor) got Tyeshea zipped up in her dress. Happy tears quickly followed.

Tyeshea looked stunning in her gown! Simple and elegant never looked so good!

Now down to the boys were Andy was helping Kaden and Colton (their sons) with their bowties.

The guys enjoyed dressing Andy… maybe too much. haha

Andy isn’t a fan of pictures but you wouldn’t know it by how he crushed his portraits!

We drove over the Battell park for their first look. Before seeing one another, they each read a note that the other had written for them. Very emotional moment.

Creative time… you know that’s my favorite!

WOW!

After our amazing creative session, we headed back to her grandmother’s home for the ceremony. It was an emotional moment as Tyeshea’s mom helped her with her veil.

After some very yummy tacos, it was time for the reception to get underway. Nikki, the maid of honor, and Andrew, the best man, gave two very beautiful and funny speeches.

Instead of the traditional bouquet toss, Tyeshea thought doing a bouquet ribbon ceremony would be more fun. I had never seen it before but loved it! So much better than the traditional way. It’s more interactive and the girls don’t feel so awkward standing around. I highly recommend this to any bride!

Night shot to end the perfect day!

Tyeshea and Andy – I’m so very thankful that I got to be there for you on your day. It was an absolute pleasure and the day was perfect! I know I’ll get to see you every year as your beautiful family grows and new chapters begin in your lives. I wish you all the love in the world. Congratulations. Love – S
