A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of capturing Alice and Al’s intimate wedding at the Morris Park Country Club in South Bend. They decided to have a small wedding with just their closest friends and family so I was honored when Alice asked me to photograph the ceremony and formal portraits. So often people assume that I only photograph large weddings with all the bells and whistles. However, I photograph weddings of all sizes and budgets.

I arrived just before the ceremony to capture decor of the ceremony and check in with my wonderful couple. Alice and Al decided to do a very quick first look and then walk down the aisle together. It was such a beautiful moment and I’m glad we worked out the timing so I was able to capture both the bridal party (Alice and Al’s children) walking down the aisle and their first look.

The paster knew the couple personally so he really made the ceremony special for them. They exchanged vows and rings and could barely hold back the tears.

We braved the cold for about 15 minutes so that Alice and Al could get some gorgeous portraits with the beautiful fall colors.

Their portraits are very romantic and simple. Just the two of them, enjoying the fact they are now man and wife.

I used a longer lens to blur the background which gave these portraits a very personal and romantic feel.

The gorgeous details of their reception. Burn’s Rent-All’s provided the decor and rentals and Sweet Em’s made the decadent cake and desserts. Morris Park Country Club did an amazing job accommodating Alice and Al’s friends and family.

To Alice and Al – Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your special day! I can tell you both care deeply for one another and I couldn’t be happier for you both. I wish you nothing but love and happiness! Love – S
