Two weeks ago, I traveled to Chicago with Nicole and Jake for their awesome engagement session! The city was buzzing with tourists and Bears’ fans but that didn’t stop us from finding the best spots for photos!
We decided to do their more formal look first with the urban setting. We walked a few blocks into the city from Michigan Avenue so we there would be less people in the background.
Nicole and Jake needed no coaching or direction as they immediately took to the session and were all smiles! Jake is probably the most excited groom ever for pictures!
LOVE this image of Nicole… so gorgeous!
I love how these images turned out and the funny thing is, they are just standing next to scaffolding. It’s all about the angle of the photograph.
We walked to the river which gave us even better views of the buildings from the bridge.
With a little help from Jake, we carried by camera bag down into the riverwalk for a few cozy photos near the water.
Love the purple!
Nicole and Jake changed into their casual outfits for the second part of the session at Millennium park.
These photos were taken right next to the bean. I found this spot several years ago, during another engagement session. It’s nice because you’re still close to Michigan Avenue but without all the people in the background.
At the end of our session, we were able to take the night shot at the center of the park, where you can see city. Unfortunately the cloud cover was pretty heavy so you can’t see all of the buildings but it was still pretty cool!
