When I first met Maddie and Conor last year, we couldn’t have imagined that their fairytale Notre Dame wedding would be turned upside down thanks to the pandemic. Maddie and Conor really wanted to get married so they opted for an intimate ceremony of just them, their parents and 3 wedding party members. They live in New Jersey so they enlisted the help of avid planner (and my personal friend) Angie Anderson of Belle Behind the Ball. Angie was able to make all the necessary changes and keep Maddie and Conor up to date the whole time. Even with all this happening, we were able to give them a gorgeous wedding at the Basilica and reception at the Morris Inn. We had the campus to ourselves, a wonderful vendor team and unbelievably good food. It was the perfect day!
Our day started off on the top floor of the Morris Inn where Maddie’s mom and Conor’s mom helped Maddie put on her beautiful dress! The suite was huge and had gorgeous light… thank you Morris Inn!
Such a special moment between Maddie and her mom. 🙂
Isn’t Maddie stunning!!! I couldn’t get enough of that gorgeous light her face and of course Maddie was beaming from ear to ear!
Downstairs I went to meet up with Conor and the boys. Ryan and Peter were very excited to assist Conor in getting dressed. 🙂
Good looking group for sure!
Conor channelled his inner Frank Sinatra for his very handsome portraits.
First look with dad in the beautiful Morris Inn hallway.
First look at the alter. Maddie was glowing!
Maddie and Conor had a full ceremony, complete with communion. They couldn’t stop smiling at each other the whole time. 🙂
Mr and Mrs. Lloyd!!!
Family formals
One big happy family!!!
Mr. Lloyd
Mrs. Lloyd
The Lloyd’s!
This particular image was the one photo Maddie wanted the most. After a few minutes of finding the perfect spot to put the light, we got it! I love it so much and I know they do to! 🙂
Lighting a candle at the Grotto.
Couldn’t be cuter if they tried. 😀
The wedding party!
Wow! So happy the swan joined us for pictures!
So much fun on the steps of the Administration building… aka (The Dome!)
I’ve never had a wedding party nail the walking pictures on the first try. It usually takes at least 2 attempts. These guys were pros!
One more set of portraits before heading to the reception.
Can’t get over how beautiful she is! Swoon.
The Newlyweds!
This shot is a particularly hilarious one! Angie always gets a photo with her couples on their wedding day. Well we thought it would be funny to play off the 6 feet ‘social distancing’ rule and put Angie in the back of the photo. It sucked that we couldn’t hug one another but it did make for some funny moments!
May I introduce Mr and Mrs Conor Lloyd! 😀
Since their guests couldn’t be there, many of Maddie and Conor’s friends and family members FaceTime or called in to give their speeches and well wishes. 🙂
Cake time! Thank you C’est La Vie Cakes for these very yummy photos!
Their first dance as husband and wife.
They were singing to each other here. 🙂
Father/daughter dance.
Mother/son dance. At the end, Angie (Conor’s mom) walked Conor over to Maddie and had him finish the song with his new wife. There wasn’t a dry eye on campus.
Before ending this wonderful day, I suggested everyone get on the dance floor for a group photo. Plus the song “I’m Gonna Be” was playing and I knew that would get them dancing.
Thee End!
To Maddie and Conor – Thank you for taking me on this wonderful journey with you! I know it didn’t turn out quite how you planned it but never the less, it was an amazing day and I was honored to be apart of it. I wish you both all the love in the world! Here’s to the next chapter of your love story! 🥂 Love always – S
