Intimate ceremony at Queen of Peace Parish – Pam & Mike – South Bend Wedding Photographer

After several postponements, Pam and Mike were finally able to say “I do!” last Sunday at Queen of Peace Parish. Pam and Mike’s story actually begins early last year when they planned a spring wedding for April 2020. Unfortunately, life had other plans. I remember speaking with Pam on several occasions and working very hard to find her and Mike a different date that would work for everyones’ schedules. After their first postponement date was going to work out, they decided to wait till July 2021.

However, as time went on, Pam and Mike realized that they just couldn’t wait another day to be married to one another. Pam emailed me about a month ago and said, “Are you doing anything on May 2nd?” I was and it was the prefect way to open the 2021 wedding season!

The day began with details. Mike wore the dog tags and cufflinks of his grandfather who fought in World War II. Such an incredible heirloom to have, let alone, make apart of your wedding day.

The church’s rooms were pretty small so I brought Mike, Landon (Pam’s son) and Steve (Mike’s brother) out in the foyer near an open window. We had to avoid an exit sign and the water fountain but we made it work. 😉

Mike first helped Landon with his finishing touches and then Landon helped Mike with his.

The boys were all smiles, especially Mike! ☺️

Next up, our beautiful bride Pam! Her details were heavenly and that ring… yes please! 💍

Pam’s mom helped with her veil and bracelet.

And then her sister helped with Pam’s necklace and other bracelet. These two were all giggles! 🥰

Before the ceremony started, we did a first look with Landon. These two are like two peas in a pod! ❤️

Pam and Mike had a small ceremony with just immediate family present. Their ceremony was officiated by Mike’s dad, Deacon Bob, who I spent all day calling Father Bob, lol.

Landon gave his mom away as Mike tried not to cry.

The word of the day was definitely Family! Look how happy they are! 🤗

The readers and homily.

The homily was particularly personal, as you might imagine. 😉

Exchanging of vows and rings. 💍

The nuptial blessing.

Mr and Mrs Byrne!!! 🥳

Pam and Mike signed the marriage license and then we started formal photos up at the alter.

Officially husband and wife!!!

The Byrnes!

We went outside to take a few more photos but the sun had other plans. Thankfully Steve (Mike’s brother) stepped in and held the reflector the whole time to block the blinding sun. I’m sure his arms were sore the next day, lol.

Married at last! ❤️

To Pam and Mike – Thank you for bringing me along on this wonderful journey with you! I couldn’t be happier for you both and now, the 3 of you! I’m excited to continue the fun this July and create even more memorable moments together! Have a wonderful time at Disney! Oh… and thank Steve again for me, lol! All my love – S
