Wisconsin Club Country Club Wedding – Luke & Laura – Milwaukee Wedding Photographer

I can’t believe it’s been a year already. Feels like just yesterday that Luke and Laura said “I do!” last June and now here we are at the second half of the celebration. 🥰

Luke and Laura hold a very special place in my heart because we’ve been together on this wedding journey for a long time now. Through a surprise proposal and engagement party in South Bend. A very epic engagement session in Cincinnati. Their intimate ceremony last year amidst a global pandemic. And now the conclusion of their journey at the Wisconsin Club Country Club. I feel like I’ve always known them and am now an honorary Cutler. ❤️ But enough about me… let’s get to the good stuff!

Since we did all the bridal details last year, our day begins with the boys getting ready and sharing a drink (or two 😉)! The club had this incredible lounge area in the locker room which was perfect for the getting ready photos. The boys helped Luke get ready and then it was time to play a little pool.

The pool balls spell out both of Luke and Laura’s wedding days; June 13th and 12th. How epic is this shot, love it! 🎱

Leaving the guys to finish their Spotted Cows, I headed over to Laura and girls in the women’s locker room. All the ladies had matching robes so we toasted to the beautiful bride. 🥂

After some major hugging time, Laura got into her dress. Her gown is the perfect mix of simple and elegance. 😍

We went upstairs so Sarah (Laura’s sister) could put the veil in and then we did Laura’s bridal portraits.

Swoon! 😍

Luke also did his portraits here but don’t worry, they didn’t see each other. 😉

Before heading out to the first touch/first look, Luke’s mom Connie pinned his boutonniere on.

Even though Luke and Laura are already married, they still wanted a private moment just the two of them before starting pictures. They were beaming from ear to ear! 😁

Next it was time for the wedding party photos! Ladies first!

Gentlemen, you’re up! 😎

I love these colors together, don’t you! That’s a good looking group if I do say so myself. ☺️

These guys and gals took awkward laughter to a whole new level. 😆

We sent the wedding party off to freshen up as the 5 of us (Luke, Laura, myself, Grace and Aaron the videographer) took a golf cart around the course for their creatives.

I’ll tell you a secret… these two can NOT take a bad picture. Impossible, they’re too cute together!

We hopped in the golf cart and drove further down the course to a bridge that was surrounded by flowers. Perfect!

What you don’t know is that the sun was relentless for these photos ⬇️ so my assistant Grace is holding a reflector over their heads the entire time. Thank you Photoshop! 😆

With creatives done, it was time for family formals. May I introduce the Iglar’s and the Cutler’s!

Vow renewal time!

Love this moment of Laura’s sister and Luke’s mom helping with the dress. 👗

Luke and Laura wrote their own renewal vows to one another and there wasn’t a dry eye in all of Wisconsin. 🥲

Once again, Mr and Mrs Cutler!!! 🥰

During cocktail hour, we had a little fun with these custom masks Luke’s mom made. It reminded me of throwing your hat in the area at graduation… minus the fact that Danny is pounding his into the ground. 🤣

The reception space and details were so pretty and perfectly coordinated.

Mr & Mrs Cutler are ready to get the party started! 🥳

They thanked their guests for sharing in their celebration together and then Tricia said a prayer over the food (which was super yummy by the way!).

After dinner, Laura’s dad, John, gave a very special toast to the happy couple, followed by Sarah (maid of honor) and Keagan (the best man). Each speech was a tear jerker. ❤️

Next up was the best part of the day…flambé donuts! Okay, maybe it wasn’t technically the best part but Luke was sure on cloud 9. 🍩

Before starting the dances, we ran outside to catch the last few minutes of sunset. ☀️

Time to dance! Luke and his mom were up first. She sang to him the whole time. 🥰

Laura and her dad sure had their dancing shoes on! They didn’t miss a beat! 💃🏻

Sharing their first dance together.

Time to party! 🥳

You know what time it is… that’s right, time for the night shot. Luke and Laura’s night shot in Cincinnati was so epic that I knew I had to do something even more epic for their wedding day. The front of the club was the perfect location thanks to it’s many stairs (dimension) and outdoor lights (context). During the light check I noticed how amazing the photo looked up close so we did a few more intimate ones before ending with a moment so epic that even the moon was in it! 🌛

To Luke and Laura – There are no words, I seriously can’t describe how much you both mean to me and I am so blessed to call you friends. I can’t wait to see what amazing things the Lord has in store for you next. Love always – S
