Basilica Dream Wedding – Rosemary & Greg – Notre Dame Wedding Photographer

Two weeks ago, I had the honor of capturing Rosemary and Greg’s dream wedding at the Basilica! They met on campus and were both in the Notre Dame choir. They now live in Texas where Rosemary is going to med school and Greg works as an engineer.

The first time I met them was on the phone and we immediately clicked and shared the same vision for their day. I’m so grateful to Angie of Belle Behind the Ball for bringing us together. I knew their day would be wonderful but I had no idea it would be this perfect!

Our day started at the DoubleTree in South Bend where Greg and his groomsmen were getting ready. By the looks of it, they quite enjoyed dressing Greg. 😆

Greg’s portraits and details. I love the DoubleTree’s hotel rooms. The light is perfect!

Off I went to see Rosemary and her gals. She was just a few minutes away at an AirBNB where Tiara of Tiaras & Veils Hair Artistry was styling Rosemary’s hair. I gathered all of Rosemary’s details so I could photograph them while she was finishing up. 💍

There was no short supply of giggles today, that’s for sure! 🙃

Rosemary’s sister Jamie was the Matron of Honor and these two are so close, you can tell. ☺️

First look with dad.

Putting her veil on.

Mom squeezes! 🥰

Rosemary’s portraits. She’s so elegant. 🥰

Time to get hitched!

Mr & Mrs Greg Demet! ❤️

The Demet’s and the Pfaff’s!

Our awesome bridal party!

The Newlyweds!

As we were walking out of God and Country door, a few of their friends were holding signs to congratulate Rosemary and Greg!

Big photo of all the guests on the stairs of the Administration building. I always love this photo… so fun!

Rosemary and Greg’s music director was able to come to the ceremony so they planned a song to sing at the Grotto. It was so beautiful and heartfelt.

Rosemary and Greg then lit a candle in the Grotto.

The bridal party and myself walked back to the Basilica for more amazing photos!

You know how much I love a cathedral veil!!!

Silliness!!!

Picture perfect!📷

Such a great group of friends!

LOVE the florals by Country Florist! Can’t recommend them enough!

We walked over to the law school to take advantage of the beautiful light. This is definitely one of my favorite spots on campus.

They love each other so much. 😍

These 2 middle photos below are exactly why I recommend a second shooter. A second photographer can capture unique angles why I shoot straight on.

Rosemary and Greg wanted special variations of photos with the people that mean the most to them. The laughter was non-stop!

We sent the bridal party off to cocktail hour while the 3 of us walked to Touch Down Jesus. These are such stunning photos and their expressions are all natural. I simply captured their love from afar.

WOW!

It was now time for us to head to the Palais for the reception. As cocktail started, the 3 of us went into the Morris Performing Art Center lobby to take advantage of it’s stunning atmosphere. Mask photo!

I have a one more to show you but I’m saving it for the end! 😁

Let us all welcome Mr & Mrs Demet!!!

They had a choreographed first dance complete with multiple dips and a lift! Very impressed and so lovely. Perfect for the location and added to that elegant feel of the evening.

Time for speeches! Rosemary’s dad is up first, followed by Matron of Honor, Jamie and Best Man, Will.

Let’s cut that cake! 🎂

Parent dances time. Rosemary danced with her dad and Greg with his mom.

Party time!!! 🥳

And last but certainly not least… our night shot! Since our day ended before sunset, I created a shot inside that would provide the same epic ending to the day. Of course when I planned this out I had no idea how jaw-dropping it would be. We were given access to the Morris Performing Arts Center theatre and allowed to go on the stage. Rosemary had the idea to take the photo facing out to the seats and boy was she right. This is literally a one-of-a-kind photo! And it truly is the perfect way to end a perfect day!

To Rosemary and Greg – Perfect doesn’t even begin to describe how wonderful your day was. I feel so blessed that I was able to be a part of it and capture these forever memories for you! I wish you all the love in the world and may the Lord bless this next chapter of your lives together. All my love – S
