After months of waiting, Abbi and Dom’s day is finally here! Their engagement session in Chicago last February feels like just yesterday so I can’t believe we are already at their wedding day!
Abbi and Dom’s wedding day was a beautiful June day filled with love, laughter and tons of personality! Every detail was well thought out and made extra special; from the details, all the way to the reception. Everyone had a hand in making their day truly one of kind.
So let’s begin… ☺️
Abbi and Dom’s day, of course, started with all the finite details. Abbi’s mom made Abbi a hanky from her old wedding dress and embroidered a “R” in blue on it. It was the perfect backdrop for all their beautiful details. I also love that their invitation is clear. 🥰
The rings are always a favorite of mine when it comes to details and Abbi and Dom’s were no different. 💍
I LOVE Abbi’s shoes and she said they were comfy too… win-win! 👠
Before getting dressed, all the girls shared a mimosa moment with our bride to be! 🥂
While the bridesmaids were getting their dresses on, Abbi, her sister Cassie and her mom went upstairs to get Abbi dressed.
It may not look like from these photos but Cassie was holding back tears of joy for her baby sister. ❤️
When the rest of the ladies arrived, everyone had a hand in getting our girl ready!

Abbi’s portraits are truly elegant, especially the one in the center. The sun shinned through the windows and created this gorgeous glow all along the veil. I couldn’t decide if I liked the black and white or the color photo more!🥰
Now it was time for Dom to get dressed. I was ogling over his Rolex watch! 😍
The boys had no problem jumping right in and getting our groom ready! Team work all the way. 😆
The boys had personalized glasses so a toast was definitely in order. Even Xavier, the ring bearer and Dom’s youngest brother, got in on the action. In case you’re wondering, he’s head of ring security. 🥃

Off to the chapel we go! After arriving at the Basilica, Abbi did a first look with her dad where she gave him an engraved tie clip. 🙂

The priest giving the ceremonial mass was just ordained about a month ago and this was his first wedding. He’s a personal friend of Dom’s and did a wonderful job!

Abbi and Dom went down to the Grotto to light a candle and share a private moment as husband and wife. 🕯
On our way to meet up with the wedding party, we just had to stop by the beautiful Basilica doors. In our first attempt to make Abbi’s veil swoop, the wind had other ideas. 😆
Off we went to Touch Down Jesus. We were able to find some pockets of shade for the wedding party photos. Ladies first!
The guys were pretty excited about attacking Dom. 😆

As the wedding party headed off to cocktail hour, the three of us went over to Saint Mary’s College (Abbi’s alma mater) for some beautiful and intimate portraits. Love that willow tree! 😍

Off to the Double Tree for their reception! Each table centerpiece had a black and white photo from their engagement session. I love when my couples, not only print their photos, but use them in fun ways to make their day extra special! ☺️

They walked right in and cut their cake. Somehow Dom ended up with frosting on his nose… haha! 🤣
Abbi’s father welcomed everyone and gave a very heartfelt speech, congratulating his daughter and now son-in-law. ❤️

After dinner, Cassie, (Abbi’s sister and maid of honor) and Joey, (Dom’s brother) toasted the couple on their big day!

During parent dances, Dom danced with his mother and there wasn’t a dry eye in all of South Bend. 🥺
Abbi and her dad put on their dancing shoes and couldn’t stop laughing, especially when they busted out the chicken dance. 😆

As the sun was setting, we went outside to catch a few minutes of golden hour. ☀️
About an hour later, it was time to end this epic day in a big way. We walked down the block to the Morris Performing Art Center and celebrated their day in style! How romantic are these night shots?! So grand and the perfect ending to their a perfect day! 😱
To Abbi and Dom – Thank you for allowing me to come on their journey with you! It’s been incredible and I’m so lucky to have been a small part of your story. I know our paths will cross again and I can’t wait to see how the Lord will bless you in this next chapter! All my love – S
