Geode Wedding with Rainbow Sprinkles – Alice & Noah – Destination Wedding Photographer

If there’s one thing I love, it’s a wedding with ice cream! Alice and Noah said “I do” surrounded by their closest friends and family at the White House Event Center in Edgewood Kentucky. Their journey here was filled with its ups and downs as they had 3 date changes, a venue change and the threat of severe thunderstorms. However, the Lord answered their prayers and gave them a gorgeous day filled with plenty of sunshine and laughter. And of course, the amazing memories to go with it!

Their day began at Alice’s parent’s house where I photographed their details on the back of Alice’s dress. The strip pattern gave such dimension to the images. And holy cow, LOVE the polkadots for the ring shot! 💍

I love Noah’s ring on top of one of his geodes. It coordinated perfectly with his detail colors. 😍

We finished up and then headed over to the salon to capture the last few minutes of Alice’s makeup and hair. Such a cute place!

The ladies left for the venue, as we traveled back to Alice’s parent’s house for Noah’s getting ready moments. His attendants had no problem making sure he looked his best for the big day. 😁

Handsome, party of 1! 😍

With Noah all ready to go, Grace and I drove to the venue (which was literally 90 seconds away) to capture Alice getting into her dress. Alice’s two sisters (Lily and Sierra) and mom (Cathy) helped Alice with her finishing touches.

There was a mirror on the wall next to Alice so I used that to get this reflection affect for her portraits. Love how they came out!

Afterward, we all met back at Alice’s parent’s house for the first look. But first, Noah’s mom pinned his boutonnière and Alice did a surprise first look with her dad.

With everyone hidden inside, it was time for Alice and Noah to finally see one another. 🥰

After a lot of hugs, the 8 of us hopped in our cars and headed off to the first photo location. This spot may look familiar… their engagement session was here but just across the river on the Ohio side. The beautiful sky blue bridge makes for the best backdrop.

These guys and gals were having a little too much fun! 😉🤣

Killer!!! 😱

Every shot was so good; I couldn’t choose a favorite! ❤️

Our next stop was Piper’s Cafe and Ice Cream Bar where Alice and Noah both got vanilla ice cream with rainbow sprinkles. They were so focused on taking photos with their cones that I had to remind them to eat them too. 😆

Our last stop was my favorite, the Devou Park Overlook. You can literally see all of the Cincinnati skyline from here. The sun was really shinning now so I had Grace shade Alice and Noah with the reflector. Totally worth the extra Photoshop!

We all pilled into our vehicles and drove to White House Events Center. I grabbed a few photos of the wedding party and then started on details.

Love all the polkadots! ❤️

Ceremony time! Noah was beaming from ear to ear!

Exchanging of vows.

Before exchanging rings, Alice and Noah passed their rings around to each guest so that they may bless their union and share in the moment together. 💍

ITS OFFICIAL!

May I introduce Mr and Mrs McDougall!!! 🥳

Family formals.

Everyone that was there to celebrate with Alice and Noah.

As the guests enjoyed cocktail hour, Alice and Noah Zoomed with several of their family and friends that couldn’t be there in person.

The newlyweds!!!

Before dinner, Alice’s father Steve toasted the newly married couple and made sure to reference their vacation in Fiji. 😆

As dinner came to an end, Noah thanked all the guests for their amazing support and then thanked his new wife for always being by his side. ❤️

Time for speeches! Lilly and Sierra were up first! Their speech ended with a cherry Jello shot. 🥃

And then it was Emily and Peter’s turn! Emily brought up a can of lentils during her speech while Peter encouraged Alice and Noah to be imperfect like geode crystals are.

Time to cut the cake! The geode cut out in the front was pretty clever! 🎂

Alice and Noah’s first dance as husband and wife. And boy did they dance!

Noah danced with his mom and the two of them couldn’t stop giggling. ☺️

Alice and her dad had boogie fever as well! 💃🏻

Let’s get this party started!!! 🥳

To end their wonderful day, I cleared the dance floor and placed Alice and Noah in front of their floral arch. With the outdoor lighting on the edges and that beautiful blue sky, we were able to create these gorgeous portraits in no more than 90 seconds! I ❤️ the kiss!

To Alice and Noah – Thank you for bringing me along on this incredible journey with you! I know it took longer than expected but I couldn’t be happier to have been there for you every step of the way. Congratulations on the new house too!!! I know the Lord has amazing things planned for you in this next chapter of your lives together! All my love – S
