Summer Wedding at the Gillespie – Pam & Mike – South Bend Wedding Photographer

We finally made it! Pam and Mike celebrated their wedding with their closest friends and family at the Gillespie Event Center this past Saturday! With several postponements and a small ceremony this past May, Pam and Mike were thrilled to finally be able to dance the night away with the people that mean the most to them.

Since we already did all their bridal details back in May, we jumped right into the guys getting ready.

The many faces of Mike, lol!

Next up, Pam and her girls! The bridal suite was so nice and it gave the gals plenty of room to get ready.

All that sass!

A quick first look in the foyer before heading out to do family photos.

The Annis and Byrne families!

Once we finished up with family formals, we jumped in our cars and drove over to the University of Notre Dame. Our first stop was the Grotto. Love these moments of Pam and Mike!

Now that we could celebrate with everyone, it was time for wedding party photos! The guys had way too much tackling Mike! 😆

Our beautiful ladies! Sass for days! ☺️

Mrs Byrne!

Mr. Byrne!

These two… so much fun!

We had a creeper in our midst. 🤣 That’s what I love about Pam and Mike, they’re not afraid to be themselves… goofy and all.

LOVE!

We hopped back in our air conditioned cars and went back to the Gillespie Event Center. As the wedding party enjoyed cocktail hour, I photographed the beautiful details in the ballroom. Polly of Poppies did an amazing job on all the floral!

After their big entrance, Mike’s dad (Deacon Bob) welcomed everyone and prayed over the meal.

Once salads were served, Steve (best man) gave a heartfelt and hilarious toast to our couple.

Pam’s matron of honor, Erica, kept it short and sweet as she congratulated the happy couple.

Let them eat cake! 🎂

In between table visits, we snuck out to the courtyard to get a few photos of the whole wedding party with the ring barriers and flower girls.

As dinner was finishing up, Pam and Mike took to the dance floor for the first time as husband and wife. ❤️

They were all smiles!

For the traditional mother/son dance, Mike danced with his mom while Pam danced with her son, Landon. Such a special moment.

Party time!

As our time was drawing near, I took Pam and Mike across the street to Saint Mary’s College to get a gorgeous shot on the bridge, overlooking the willow trees. The rain had stopped and we were so excited that we nearly leaped out of the car. However, as we walked up to the bridge we were stopped by security. Apparently another couple had rented out basically the whole space and they wouldn’t let us in. We were deeply disappointed but I wasn’t going to let that ruin the night. I was determine to make lemonade from those lemons. I made a quick left turn into a random parking lot and we hopped out of the car and walked to a part of the campus that had the willow trees in the background. And wow, so happy with the results! The perfect send off to this incredible couple! 😍

To Pam & Mike – Our journey together as finally come to an end which makes me so sad. You both are so fun to hang out with and no one knows Marvel like you two! I have a feeling we’re going to need a nerd-night (with beverages 😉) sometime soon! Congratulations on the new house!!! You both deserve the world and I couldn’t be happier to call you friend! All my love – S
